CapitalOne Shopping's Plugin Can Be Used By Anyone

I’m all about ways to save and invest money both long and short-term. A lot of this entails forming habits, adding browser plug-ins and/or reminders. I’ve found that the CapitalOne Shopping plug-in and app makes saving some extra money online a no-brainer. Very little effort is needed to ensure that you're actually getting the best deal out there. I have a CapitalOne credit card and that is how I discovered CapitalOne Shopping, but I have seen it being promoted to all shoppers. CapitalOne is smart for doing this for many reasons, in my opinion. Here are my savings so far after only using it for a few months:

Here is a real-life example of how I’ve used the plug-in and app:

STEP 1: Install the CapitalOne Shopping plug-in here. You can see it installed here in my Chrome browser Extensions list.

STEP 2: While on desktop - Shop like you normally would at your favorite stores. At checkout, you will see a pop-up letting you know there are codes available.

While in the mobile app, search for a store:

Click on ULTA to start shipping at ULTA.com. You will see a pop-up from Capital One Shopping letting you know the savings percentage rewards you've activated. Click on “Let's Go”.

You will see a pop-up at the bottom of the page that reminds you that CapitalOne Shopping will “automatically test coupon codes at checkout”.

You can click to reveal the actual coupon codes.

Add the item you want to buy to your cart.

CapitalOne Shopping will automatically do it’s thing and show you how much money you can save or will save if you proceed with using the coupon code it automatically ads to your cart.

You will see a pop-up from CapitalOne Shopping that asks you if you want to try a certain number of discount or coupon codes. You will watch as CapitalOne Shopping tries these coupons and applies the best option for you. If the coupon codes don’t work or apply to your order, they will let you know and ask if you want a cash back percentage instead.

STEP 3: Enjoy not having to search for a coupon code because CapitalOne Shopping typically has plenty of options. You’ll usually get some sort of percentage of cash back if you click OK to agree to receiving rewards!

Let’s say you have loyalty to a specific PRODUCT that you use for your daily skin regime. You can search for that product on the CapitalOne Shopping app.
